KATE DEVORE

Kate DeVore, M.A., CCC-SLP, is a voice/speech pathologist who specializes in treating and training the professional voice, including theatrical voice, speech and dialects.

Kate operates Total Voice, Inc., teaches voice at Columbia College in Chicago and lectures nationally. She has taught at numerous colleges, universities, theatre companies and training programs in Boston and Chicago. Past medical affiliations include: the Voice Center at the University of Illinois -Chicago and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School).

STARR COOKMAN

Starrlett Cookman, M.A., CCC-SLP is the assistant director of the Voice and Speech Clinic at the University of Connecticut Health Center. As an assistant professor, she evaluates and treats individuals with voice disorders in addition to providing lectures about voice and laryngeal dysfunction.

Starr is a trained mezzo-soprano with several years experience singing professional jazz. She combines her extensive clinical, teaching, and stage experience to bridge the gap between the science and art of voice.
